Sigmaintell has recently announced the world rankings of LCD TV panel shipment of the first quarter of 2018. BOE (12.5 million), LGD (12.1 million) and Samsung (10 million) were the global top three. So, following its shipment of TFT-LCD panels for smart phone, tablet, notebook, and monitor, BOE is now No.1 in the world in terms of shipment of panels for LCD TV.
Starting from last year, the capacity of BOE Fuzhou Gen 8.5 production line has been growing rapidly and the Gen 10.5 line in Hefei was successfully put into mass production. With a number of high-gen production lines in full operation and the products fully sold, BOE’s production capacity has been fully unleashed with a strong momentum. BOE now supplies LCD TV panels for Samsung, LG, Sony, Changhong, Hisense, Konka, Skyworth, Xiaomi, AOC and other renowned TV brands at home and abroad.
According to an analyst at Sigmaintell, as BOE continues to develop large-size and UHD display panels, its global competitiveness in the TV panel market has grown significantly. In the first quarter of 2018, the shipment of BOE’s 55-inch displays increased by nearly 30% over the same period last year, that of 65-inch displays rocketed by 136%, and that of 4K displays also grew by 34%. It is predicted that BOE is bound to top the rankings for large-size display shipment, especially LCD TV panels, for the whole year.
