The sensitivity of the capacitance screen is only related to the thickness of the covering layer, the adhesive water glue or OCA between the covering layer and ITO layer, and the threshold value set in the program. If it is not set properly, it will also affect the sensitivity.
The sensitivity of touch screen is different from that of control chip due to the continuity of substrate and electrode pattern. Due to the difference of electrode design itself, the sensitivity of touch screen edge is often very different from that of touch screen center. Gsl1680 automatically compensates the whole touch screen so that its sensitivity tends to be the same.
There are often other metal materials or coatings above and below the touch screen, which affect the overall sensitivity. Gsl1680 keeps good sensitivity when there is a large area of ground plane near the touch screen.
